Resilience for Sustainable Activism

Resilience for Sustainable Activism

Thursday, Dec. 4th, 7:00-8:30 pm, Resilience for Sustainable Activism. Many of us entered movement work out of urgency and many of us are exhausted by it. The Resilience Toolkit offers an embodied, justice-aligned framework for sustaining activism over the long arc of the struggle. Rather than treating burnout, reactivity and conflict as personal failures, The Toolkit helps us understand them as predictable stress and trauma responses - and equips us with real-time regulation skills that expand our capacity to stay engaged without collapse or numbness. Together, we’ll explore: The How stress and trauma shape movement behavior (withdrawal, escalation, fracture) and how embodied stabilization interrupts those patterns in real time Embodied solidarity: how listening, repair, and collective care become possible only when the nervous system has enough bandwidth Rest and joy as conditions of political strategy, not rewards for after the work is done Practical tools to increase steadiness and discernment into movement, organizing, and mutual aid work This conversation connects the inner work of healing and reflection with the outer work of solidarity and action — helping us build movements that are both resilient and humane. “How we breathe, listen, rest, and relate is political.” Whether you’re a longtime organizer, new to activism, or simply seeking to live your values more fully, this session offers inspiration and embodied tools to help you put solidarity into action every day.  Register here.

Solidarity in Action: Protect Immigrant Rights, Build Community Power

Wednesday, Nov. 5th, 7-8 pm Solidarity in Action: Protect Immigrant Rights, Build Community Power. As part of the Solidarity in Action series, this ACLU-led session will help allies show up for immigrant communities facing law enforcement encounters. Participants will learn their rights as bystanders, immigrant rights during these interactions, and practical strategies to act safely and effectively. Together, we’ll strengthen our collective ability to protect one another and build the solidarity our communities need to thrive. This is movement training for action: you’ll leave ready to not only defend your neighbors in the moment, but also strengthen the collective resistance that fuels our movements for immigrant justice. Register here.

What's the Plan? With Indivisible's Co-founders Leah and Ezra

Thursday, October 16th, 3-4 pm, What’s the Plan? With Indivisible’s Co-founders Leah and Ezra.  The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back. The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back.  Register
