Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon recently announced that she is not seeking re-election this fall after four terms as our voice in Albany. Keeping this seat Democratic is absolutely essential for our area. It is the only Democratic seat in the Mohawk Valley in the state legislature. If we lose this seat, Oneida County will be effectively shut out of all major decisions made at the state level.
