Wednesday, Nov. 16th, 12 pm (noon), Climate, Jobs & Justice Package Campaign Launch led by NY Renews, State Office Building, E Washington Street, Syracuse. IMV Climate Crisis Working Group is co-sponsoring the rally with AGREE (Alliance for a Green Economy. The package is a legislative roadmap to making the promises of the Climate Act a reality. It aims to fully fund NY’s climate law, build renewable energy for all, and make polluters pay for poisoning our communities and the planet. RSVP on the NY Renews Action Network site. Monday, March 28th, as our Governor and Legislature are in the final days of negotiating our state budget, we are headed to Albany! This year we have a revenue surplus but Governor Hochul wants to put much of that money away for a “rainy day” but the rainy day is now!

This action is the capstone in the New York Renews budget campaign, and it could be the one that pushes us over the top. But to get the $15 billion our state needs, we need you. The Senate must pass the Freedom to Vote and Build Back Better Acts. Put on your warm socks, and bring an extra pair to donate to the homeless.

Please join 1199 SEIU members at the parking lot in TR Proctor Park closest to the fence with Masonic Care Community. They are undergoing contract negotiations and fighting for better wages, to keep their pension and health insurance rates for members.
