📣NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY!

Get voters excited about voting early and help them commit to doing it.

Saturday, October 17 — Three Local Events. One Powerful Message.

More than 2,500 people turned out in Syracuse last Friday to protest Donald Trump's visit. A special shout-out to IMV founding member Judy Jerome, who helped organize the rally and served as a media spokesperson!

Now let's keep that energy going!

This Saturday, October 17, communities across the Mohawk Valley will gather for No Kings: Vote Early ❌👑 — a day of action to stand up for democracy and encourage everyone to make a plan to vote.

Early voting begins October 24. Let's make sure our neighbors know it—and are ready to participate!

❌👑 Choose Your No Kings Event!

UTICA — 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

F.T. Proctor Park, Utica — Enter near Rutger Street

🍂Two Actions You Can Take Today!

1. Text a Friend About Voting!

At our October IMV meeting, Tracy Black shared a simple way to encourage friends and family to make a voting plan.

Copy this message and send it to someone in your contacts:

“I made a commitment to ask everyone I know to make a plan to vote. I plan on voting early.😊 What’s your plan to vote?”

Then keep going! Send it individually to more friends and family, and don't forget your group chats.

2. Final Push for Blake Gendebien Postcards!

Thursday, October 15 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Democratic HQ,
209 N. Washington Street, Rome

This is the final postcard-writing push for Blake Gendebien! Stop by for an hour or two to help reach Oneida County voters in NY21 before the cards are mailed.

One Click Action to Urge Governor Hochul to Fully Assess Data Centers Risks

In July, it was good news that Governor Hochul issued an executive order establishing a moratorium on new data centers in New York.

Unfortunately, she is rushing the process to assess the risks of data centers, with a shoddy analysis that would end the moratorium.

The Hochul administration’s proposed review ignores many of the costly and dangerous impacts of data centers on our health, communities, and environment. It also excludes the possibility of blocking data centers.

Send the Governor a message that data center risks need to be fully assessed.

One Click Action to Urge the Public Service Commission to Save Consumers Money with Strong Regulations

Every month, part of your gas bills pays for a hidden charge for new methane pipelines to new consumers. We pay the price of the lines in our bills, and then the gas utilities profit by earning a guaranteed return on every foot of the pipe. Legislation passed last year and signed by Governor Hochul stops the 100 foot rule, but now the PSC must implement it in a way that the benefits go to us, the consumers.

Sign the letter here to urge the PSC to implement the law and help energy affordability.

🎉Your Work Is Being Honored by the NAACP!

Indivisible Mohawk Valley (THAT'S YOU!) has been named a Community Honoree by the NAACP Oneida County Branch! We'll be recognized at their Annual Freedom Fund Dinner on Sunday, November 1.

This is a huge honor for all of us. The NAACP Oneida County Branch has been a longtime partner and ally in our shared work for voting rights, civil rights, and building an anti-racist, people-powered movement.

This recognition belongs to every IMV member whose dedication and activism make a difference in our community!
