Join us tonight for our September IMV meeting with Mohawk Valley native and international pollster John Zogby. We’ll talk about which messages are resonating with voters in the 2026 midterms, what that means for our conversations with voters here in the Mohawk Valley, and what he sees ahead in the broader electoral landscape. There will be time for your questions during Q&A.
This meeting will not be recorded, so don’t miss your chance to hear directly from Zogby and ask your own questions.

Right after our IMV meeting, join Indivisible’s national No Kings: Vote Early Kickoff Callto learn about the coalition’s upcoming early-vote activation and ways to get your community involved. The call will focus on why early voting matters and how local groups can help turn voters out early.
*If you can join both calls, great! If you need to choose one, join us for Zogby at 7 p.m. The Zogby meeting will not be recorded, while Indivisible will share a recording and materials from the national call afterward.

There are lots of ways to help move voters between now and Election Day:

Voter education slate cards are available at both campaign offices, and they’re useful at every door — even when no one is home. They include candidate information, early voting dates, and reminders to vote the whole ballot.
If you’re canvassing, make sure you have MiniVAN on your phone before your shift. The app lets volunteers access walk lists, enter voter responses, and sync information back to the campaign.
Can’t Knock Doors? Volunteer at a Campaign Office
The Rome and Utica campaign offices also need volunteers during open hours. Helping staff the office frees paid campaign staff to spend more time out talking with voters.
Office volunteers may help answer phones, prepare mailings and canvassing materials, greet walk-in volunteers, and keep the offices open as many hours as possible. There’s a role for you even if door-knocking isn’t.

Meet local Democratic candidates Cassie Robbins-Forbus for NYS Senate District 49 and Colleen Maxwell for NYS Assembly District 118 — and pick up postcards and address lists to write to voters in support of Blake Gendebien.
There will be coffee and donuts, time to chat with candidates, and materials available for anyone who wants to help reach voters by mail.

Small House Parties Can Mean Big Matching Funds
New York’s Public Campaign Finance program can multiply eligible small-dollar contributions to state-level candidates — which means a modest house party can turn into a much larger boost for a campaign.
IMV members are looking for people willing to host or co-host small gatherings of about 10–12 people, or simply attend one and bring a few friends. A suggested contribution of $25 per person can add up quickly once matching funds are applied.
House parties are being planned throughout September and early October, on both weekdays and weekends. Hosts provide simple snacks and drinks, and someone from the local Democratic Party will be there to help with the required paperwork. Candidates may also stop by when schedules allow.

IMV to Be Honored at NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner
Indivisible Mohawk Valley has been named a Community Honoree by the NAACP Oneida County Branch and will be recognized at its 2026 Annual Freedom Fund Dinner on Sunday, November 1st.
Our longtime social justice and political activism ally, Citizen Action of CNY, is the other Community Honoree. IMV activist and artist Teresa Van Etten is one of the individual honorees, along with Rev. Sharon Baugh, who spoke at our 2025 Good Trouble Lives On event.

Early-bird tickets are available through October 1st and are $70 for adults and $50 for youth. After October 1st, prices increase to $75 for adults and $55 for youth. Ticket prices include admission to the dinner and a one-year NAACP membership. Current NAACP lifetime members may purchase tickets for $50.

Jake Addington Campaign Update on Zoom

Oneida County Legislature District 2 candidate Jake Addington will give an update on his campaign, discuss his platform and campaign plan, and talk about ways supporters can help as the campaign heads into the final stretch. District 2 includes Augusta, Marshall, Sangerfield, and part of Kirkland.

Concerned about renewed threats from the proposed Constitution Pipeline? The Women’s Water Walk begins September 19 with a two-week, 113-mile prayer walk along the proposed pipeline route in New York State.

Blake Gendebien and Bill McKibben — Conversation and Virtual Fundraiser
