Weekly IMV Protest in Utica

Thursday, July 31st, 4-5 pm, Weekly IMV Protest in Utica, 10 Broad Street, Alexander Pirnie Building, Utica. We gather every week to protest this administration and the complicit Republican Congress and judges who are dismantling the Constitution, due process, federal agencies, and the systems and services that have made this country strong–before our very eyes.  They want us to be scared, isolated, divided, hateful, and exhausted but we refuse to hide. We stand together in community and witness on behalf of those who are being attacked, disappeared, and stripped of the funding and services they need, all to give more wealth and power to the billionaires.  Bring a sign or use of our extras.

Pop-up "Families First" Rally in Bridgeport

Saturday, July 26th, 9-10:30 am, Pop-up “Families First” Rally in Bridgeport (southern side of Oneida Lake, to the east of Syracuse). On July 26, Americans in every corner of the country will come together in peaceful marches, rallies, and actions to say: our families come first—not billionaires, not authoritarians, and not corrupt politicians. From rural towns to major cities, Families First actions will bring people together to collectively demand an end to policies that harm children, seniors, and our families. We reject the Administration's actions that have gutted essential programs like Medicaid, FEMA, food stamps, school lunches, and more, all so a handful of billionaires can get tax giveaways. We are coming together to say in unity: our families come first. A core principle behind all Families First events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Note: the event’s address is private, sign up for more details. Register on Mobilize to get the specific location: https://www.mobilize.us/familiesfirst/event/816924/

Good Trouble Lives On Rally - Utica

Thursday, July 17th, 6-7 pm, Good Trouble Lives On Rally-Utica, 10 Broad Street, Utica (Alexander Pirnie Federal Building,) This is the next Indivisible mass mobilization date.  We’re making “Good Trouble” in memory and honor of Rep. John Lewis who died 5 years ago on this day. We will have speakers, songs, and chants, and call attention to the power of the people to fight peacefully for civil rights, democracy, and social justice for everyone in this country. We’ll be on Broad Street in Utica – the site of our usual Thursday protest. But we are asking for a huge crowd to turnout.  John Lewis was beaten by white supremacists and police until he nearly died, and then fought for economic justice, voting rights, and civil rights as a member of Congress.  We stand up and raise our voices in his honor. Register for the event here to get reminders and up to date information about the event: https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/810011/

May Day Strong Rally Oneida Square, Utica

Thursday, May 1st, 5:00-6:30 pm, MAY DAY STRONG RALLY, Oneida Square, (near 1300 Genesee Street) Utica.  We are demanding a country that puts our families over their fortunes—public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, housing over homelessness. Musk, Trump and their fellow profiteers are trying to create a race to the bottom—on wages, on benefits, on dignity itself.  They want to erase labor rights, break our unions, and silence immigrant voices. May Day 2025 we are standing united. Bring donations for the Morrow Warming Center, signs about protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and the laws that protect us all–children and adults, immigrants and native born, working and retired, from the tyranny of greedy oligarchic dictators.  Near the end of the rally, we will walk a few blocks to DeSales Center for an indoor event celebrating community unity and honoring workers, immigrants, and all those who have fought for dignity, rights, and freedom.
