No Kings Tomorrow. Here & Everywhere
#NoKingsDay Tomorrow!
"If your First Amendment rights are under attack, and you decline to show up because of those threats, then you don't have First Amendment rights."
--Ezra Levin, Indivisible
Now is the time to join together and stand up to a wanna be dictator, his corrupt administration, and his complicit allies in Congress and the Supreme Court. Time to make our voices and our presence--in huge numbers--loud and clear for everyone to see.
It's not too late to invite friends and share our local No Kings events by email and social media! Registrations have been skyrocketing across the country. There are more than 2700 events on the national map and allied events across the world. We had a total of 3000 people at our Utica, Rome, and Herkimer events on June 14th. We are hoping for more, a lot more!
Utica-10 Broad Street, 12-1:30 pm Register for Utica.
Rome- Fort Stanwix National Monument, 12-1:30 pm Register for Rome.
Herkimer -Bassett Convenient Care Center, 5:00-6:30 pm Register for Herkimer
Hamilton- Village Green, 3:00-4:30. Register for Hamilton (if you prefer to go to Madison County)
We have wonderful speakers and musicians at our Utica and Rome rallies. There will be chanting and lots of energy at all our rally locations! It's going to be a joyful, peaceful, and POWERFUL experience for everyone who attends.
The Utica, Rome, and Herkimer rallies are sponsored by Indivisble Mohawk Valley and co-sponsored by:
1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East
League of Women Voters Utica-Rome Metropolitan Area
NAACP Oneida County/Utica Branch
NAACP Rome Branch
Oneida County Democratic Committee
Oneida County Democratic Women's Club
Oneida County Pride Alliance
Rome Democratic Committee
We're also grateful for all the teams working on planning, safety marshals who have been doing extra training, artists who made a huge number of creative posters this past week at the poster party, and everyone who has committed to volunteer roles at our rallies on Saturday.
When you're fighting authoritarianism, courage is contagious and solidarity is everything. "No one let go of anyone's hand."
Indivisible just released another fabulous Seneca Project video inviting everyone to join No Kings events tomorrow. We can't wait to see you there!
IMV Meeting Oct. 23: All About Our Next Steps
First, what should you do immediately after the No Kings rallies end on Saturday?
1. Go on social media and post your pics from the rallies. Text and email your friends and family to let everyone know what it was like to participate in the biggest single day protest in modern American history.
2. Join Indivisibles for the Mass Call: What’s Next after No Kings? on Tuesday, October 21st, 8-9pm. No Kings will be massive, powerful, and meaningful - but it won’t be the end of our work. Join movement leaders and fellow local activists after the big day to come together, celebrate what we accomplished, and learn about what’s next. Register here.
3. Show up at IMV's big October 2025 monthly meeting on Thursday. Post No Kings II: What's Next? Everything about how we actually make a difference and make change is happening locally, in IMV and thousands of groups like ours across the country. If we just show up once, the work stops. There is a role for everyone. There's something everyone can do.
After tomorrow's local rallies, we think we'll have a lot of new folks joining us and we'll want to welcome them. We'll also know more where we're headed post No Kings and we'll be talking about what that looks like nationally and locally. Do you think we can fill the room with 250-300 people? Join us! REGISTER NOW.

Volunteers Needed for Our IMV Harvest on the Hill "Kids Vote" Table
For many IMVers the most fun event we do every year is Harvest on the Hill, where hundreds and hundreds of kids and their families trick or treat down James Street in Utica. We have a big ballot box and kids vote on their favorite candy while we talk to their grown ups about the importance of voting --on the very first day of Early Voting!
If you can help with set up or staffing the table (yes, you can wear a costume if you want), please email IMV@IndivisibleMV.org

Sum Up and Inspiration
Tomorrow is going to be the biggest one yet! But so much has been building up to it--building connections, awareness, and energy.
Thanks to LTE writer Regina Kekis whose letter this week in The Daily Sentinel was an invitation for everyone to join #NoKings. If you can write a letter, please do! Write one telling about what a powerful experience No Kings II was and why the non-violent protest movement against fascist authoritarianism is continuing to grow. Please also write a letter in support of a candidate on the ballot on Nov. 4th. The deadline to submit an electoral letter to the Sentinel is October 22.
Thanks to the weekly bridge brigade holding No Kings messages over the I-90 pedestrian bridge in Marcy. Those pictures are our most popular on Facebook!
Thanks to ralliers in Utica and New Hartford on Thursdays, Rome on Saturdays, and in Clinton once a month on Fridays.
If you love the rallies tomorrow and you're ready for more next week, Thursday's Utica rally is 4-5:30 pm at 10 Broad Street. Saturday's is 12-1:30 pm at Ft Stanwix as usual.
Please check out the calendar for local political activism events and ways to get involved. Next week we will be communicating many more ways to help with Get Out the Vote (GOTV) ahead of the Nov. 4 election. Democracy is not a spectator sport.
Tomorrow will be a truly historic day of defiance. It will be the largest single day of non-violent protest in American history. DO NOT MISS IT!
